Let’s talk about activating the female orgasm system with the O-Shot!
Many women are reluctant to talk about female sexual arousal and their concerns around what is happening in the bedroom. So many factors like hormones, menopause, and post child birth can all affect our bodies. This can result in painful sex, lack of lubrication, loss of sensation, stress incontinence and reduced libido or lack of arousal.
The O-Shot is one treatment that can help women overcome all these things! Yep, all of the above! This treatment utilizes your own PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to rejuvenate and heal itself.
What happens in a consultation for the O-Shot?
We will have a conversation about your health and lifestyle and what factors are affecting your sexual relationship. From this, we will decide if the O-Shot will be of benefit to you.
How old do you have to be to have the O-Shot?
Women of all ages can have issues with sexual arousal so as long as you are over 18 you can be a candidate for the O-Shot.
What are the benefits women can expect after having the O-Shot?
- Decrease in pain or no pain during sex
- Increased vaginal lubrication
- Decrease or resolve in stress incontinence
- Increase in the ability to have vaginal orgasms that may be stronger and more frequent
- Increase in clitoral stimulation
- A tighter vaginal canal
How long does the procedure take?
You will usually be in the clinic for 60 minutes. During this time we complete the initial consultation. After deciding if you’re an ideal candidate, we will then apply numbing cream to the area. Blood will then be taken from your arm and spun down in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the platelets and the plasma. We then take the PRP component of this sample and then inject that in to the vagina.
Is the O-Shot painful?
A strong numbing cream is applied to the area before the injection which makes the treatment quite comfortable with minimal pain involved.
When can I resume sex after the O-Shot?
That same day. Women may start to notice improvements in symptoms within days of the procedure but can it can take a good month for noticeable improvements.
Is the procedure safe?
All PRP treatments are very safe. We are using your own blood so you won’t have any reaction to this. There are only a few side effects which may occur , this can be a small amount of bleeding after the procedure, some bruising or swelling may also develop, however this settles quite quickly.
